Recap

1-21-13

Recap from last week's photo challenges.  Hey my lovelies!!!  So, last week, I'll be honest--I took all the pictures required for that day, but due to internet issues and trying to get my weekend ready for this week back to school, I just didn't have time to update the blog everyday.

So I'm going to do a quick recap of the photos from each day!

Day 14: Something yellow

Day 15: An ordinary Moment

So, we had snow on this particular day in Texas!!!  It was so beautiful!!!  An ordinary moment of the streetlight turning on was turned special because the snow was falling down! Perfect way to start my day!

Day 16: Two Things

Around here, the spring weather is confusing the flowers, so they are popping up prematurely.  Two beautiful daffodils!

Day 17: Ready!!

We are ready for some much needed rain in Mckinney, Texas!!!  This is lake Lavon!

Day 18: Shadow

I love the shadow the trees projected onto the ground at this local park in Mckinney, Texas

Day 19: Delicious!

Today I made some amazing cookies for the family!  Laura Bush's Cowboy Cookies-stay tuned for the recipe and step by step instructions for how to do it!

Day 20: Something you saw

Driving back to my boyfriend's house, we saw this in the car!  I love the shot!!

Alright friends, that's the recap for the week!!

Keep calm and carry your camera everywhere!

These little moments of mine

1-14-13

Hey friends!

Alright, I have a few things to go write down tonight and think about, so I'm just going to get to the point.

Photography Challenge Day 14: Something Yellow

I took this today in the parking lot of my daycare.  I was getting ready to come home and I turned and looked in the sky.  Amazing sunset in the Texas cold air.  I love this because it has just the right amount of yellow in it.  God truly is amazing and gracious!

Keep calm and stress free!

Soon the moon will illuminate my room

1-13-13

Hello friendlies!!!

It has been one very productive Sunday!!  I did some cleaning this morning, washed all of my linens and laundry and got rid of some things that are just honestly taking up space or that don't really go with my decor anymore.

Then, after showering and lunch I was able to go have some fun with my hunny.

While using my Strabucks gift cards tonight, I found my inspiration for my photography challenge.

Photography Challenge Day 13: Circle

This is the moon here in Texas tonight.  You can barely see the outlining to complete a full moon, but it's there.  So there's my circle~the moon.  So magical!

Alright friends,

Stay warm!

If I could rewind, both the hands of time....

1-12-13

So today on my way to my coworker's baby shower, I managed to get myself lost.  We are talking this drive should have only taken maybe 15 minutes at the most.  Nope, not this girl-I turned it into a 45 minute drive and showed up 30 minutes late.  It was all good though.

It was very fun!  You know you're growing up when you're looking at the home decor and counter space and dreaming about it.  :)

Anyways, onto the photography challenge.

Day 12: Surprise!

So this picture is from Christmas Day of 2012-it's very recent.  But here in Texas-it seldom snows, especially in December.

Well, this past Christmas Day, it happened to snow!!!  What a perfect Christmas present.  Definitely was a surprise for us Texas natives!

Alright friends,

Stay warm,
Britt

You make me smile :)

1-11-13

Hello all my lovelies!

So it is finally Friday!!!!  Finally!!!  My Friday has been very wonderful!  I went out this morning to get a baby shower gift for one of my co-worker's baby shower this weekend.  Wow, holy cow, baby stuff is soooo expensive!  My goodness!  But it turned out real cute, I'm sure she'll love it!

Then, after work I went on a date!  Super fun.

Photography Challenge Day 11: Water

This was my favorite part of the whole night-one on one time with my man.  We are a semi-long distance couple.  On a good day, we live an hour apart.  I only get to see him maybe once a week, so one on one time is perfect!!  This is probably my absolute favorite picture of us!!  The thing I love most about this man is he continuously can make me laugh, no matter what I am dealing with or going through.  And not the little laughs, like true blue, rolling on the ground, stomach hurts from laughing so much kind of laugh.  He inspires me in so many ways.  He gets me and understands me so well, it's almost scary.  We have been dating almost a 1 1/2 years and we have already been to the moon and back for each other.

In other news, it's supposed to turn off really cold this weekend in Texas!  It was 73 degrees today and by tomorrow it's supposed to be in the 40s!  Geesh-gotta love this state.

Alright friends,

Keep laughing through life's up and downs.

Britt

Day 10

1-10-13

Alright guys, once again I am posting late.  But, I'm finally getting day 10 up.

So, here it is:

Photography Challenege Day 10: 1 o' clock

So, as many of you have read previously, I am a daycare teacher.  Therefore, my one o clock is naptime for the kiddos.  While they nap, this is usually what I do-read or work on the classroom.  This is my current read-Daring to Dream by Nora Roberts.  I love her work!!!

Alright guys, have a great weekend!!

"didosors say moo"

1-9-13

Hey friends!

I know the title is slightly misspelled.  It is a direct quotation from one of my toddler babies today.  We were looking at books together and talking about the different animals in the book.  I then asked this baby girl what the dinosaur says, when another precious baby girl comes wobbling over and screams in our faces-MOOOOOOO!!!!!

...and so I came to realize I have been saying the wrong thing all along.  Didosors say moo, not roar...and it is not dinosaurs, but in fact didosors.  I love those kids-they teach me so much.

On days like today, it is very difficult to actually go into work.  See here in Dallas, Texas-it has become a freakin tsunami over the last few days.  RAIN, RAIN, RAIN....all day.  The kids haven't been able to go out and people have forgotten how to drive.  But we really need the rain.  At least, that's what I tell myself.

Onto the photography challenge for today:

Day 9: Paper

This is my footprint.  During naptime today I had to take off my warm sock and tennis shoe, proceed to paint my entire foot black and stamp it onto some paper.  Why??

We are making our feetprints into penguins to decorate our classroom door with.  So cute!!  I'll post pictures of it tomorrow.  :)

Alright friends,
Stay dry
